Oak Park Elementary School District 97 to Fill Board Vacancy
The Feb. 10 board meeting has been moved to Feb. 19, and the superintendent search public forums have been rescheduled.

The Oak Park Elementary School District 97 board of education must fill the vacancy left by the sudden death of board member Peter Traczyk in 45 days, in accordance with state law.

The board anticipates it will fill the spot at its March 17 meeting, according to District 97.
The board of education meeting that was scheduled for Feb. 10 has been moved to Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. in the boardroom of the administration building, 970 Madison Street. The meeting agenda and packet of materials will be posted on the District 97 website on Feb. 17.

Superintendent search public forums have been rescheduled for Feb. 17 at Julian Middle School and Feb. 18 at Brooks Middle School, both at 7 p.m. An online survey to gather community feedback on the desired qualities of the next superintendent will remain open until Feb. 18 at 11 p.m.
