Police Shut Down Eisenhower Expressway in Search of Carjacking Suspect: Reports
Police shut down I-290 near Harlem Avenue in search of four carjacking suspects. One suspect dies after jumping off overpass, reports say.

OAK PARK, IL -- The Eisenhower Expressway was shut down near the Harlem Avenue exit as Illinois State Troopers searched for a carjacking suspect Friday evening, news reports said
Police shut down the expressway in both directions around 8:30 p.m. following an armed hijacking in Hillside. The four suspects were said to have fled eastbound on I-290 and exited at Harlem, ABC 7 Chicago reported.
Witnesses told ABC 7 that at least two dozen police officers converged near the Harlem Avenue exit on the Eisenhower Expressway.

Police said four suspects exited the vehicle on the Harlem Avenue overpass. One suspect jumped off overpass onto I-290 and died. Two suspects were arrested. A fourth suspect remains at large, according to ABC 7.
CBS 2 Chicago said in a tweet that paramedics were on the scene doing CPR on one patient.

CTA Blue Line service was temporarily halted between the Austin and Harlem stops.
Illinois State Police are investigating the death of the person who died. Hillside police are investigating the original carjacking.
The Eisenhower was expected to reopen overnight Friday.
