Scheck & Siress celebrates 60 years of serving the orthotic and prosthetic community

Over the past 60 years, Scheck & Siress has grown to be the premier, private group practice in Orthotics & Prosthetics in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area. Since its founding in Oak Park in 1953, Scheck & Siress has prided itself on delivering the very best in orthotic and prosthetic care, innovative products and services, and a commitment to the overall well-being of its patients.  For the past 60 years, Scheck & Siress has continued to maintain an active O&P practice in Oak Park.

Scheck & Siress was founded by William Scheck, CP and Patrick Siress, CP, and started out with one office and few employees as a prosthetic company before incorporating orthotics in 1955 with the addition of Gus Scheck, CO.  Scheck & Siress has since grown to 11 offices with over 160 employees.   Scheck & Siress continues to look for growth opportunities to expand its ability to provide convenient, cost-effective care while focusing on utilizing the latest technology to deliver the best outcomes for its patients. 

The O&P industry has seen much advancement over the past 60 years of Scheck & Siress’s history.  Prosthetics that were once created with wood and leather are now manufactured with microprocessor technology and titanium components. The onset of formal education has transitioned O&P from a trade to a profession lead by respected O&P professionals.  People are always the key, and the growth and success of Scheck & Siress can be directly attributed to the unwavering commitment of our dedicated practitioners and staff. 

Scheck & Siress began with the simple goal of providing the best care and service to our patients and to get them moving again.  Sixty years later, we still believe in this core concept and technology advancements have helped us immensely in delivering on this commitment.    Scheck & Siress looks forward to the next 60 years of caring for our valued patients, and inspiring and motivating them to be their best.
