Students Faint From Heat Exhaustion At Homecoming Rally In Berwyn
Morton West's homecoming dance has been rescheduled after several students fainted from heat exhaustion during the pep rally.

BERWYN, IL — A homecoming rally in Berwyn came to an abrupt halt when several students began fainting from the record-breaking heat Friday. Many students at Morton West High School had just marched in a mile-long parade before the rally, which may have worsened their risk for heat stroke.
Temperatures ramped up to over 90 degrees during the afternoon, just as the pep rally was in full swing.
Tri-State Fire Alert reported the first alarm call just before 1 p.m., when the school's homecoming parade kicked off. The call reported "multiple heat victims," according to a Tweet from Tri-State Fire Alert. Students reportedly told FOX 32 that a cheerleader had fainted during the parade.
