Symphony Of Oak Park & River Forest Features Trumpeter Batallán

The Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest features Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s principal trumpeter Esteban Batallán in the Hummel Trumpet Concerto and Baroque selections arranged by Batallán in its December 12, 2021 concert at Concordia University Chapel in River Forest at 4 p.m. Also on the program are Victory at Sea Suite by Richard Rodgers and Brahms Symphony No. 2. The award-winning Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest is led by Music Director Jay Friedman.

Tickets are $30 ($27 if ordered online in advance), and students through college are admitted free of charge with school ID. Everyone in attendance must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and wear a mask.

A preconcert conversation will be led by Board President David Leehey at 3 p.m. Free parking is available in the garage at Bonnie Brae and Thomas in River Forest.
