Thieves Rear-End Mercedes-Benz, Steal It: Police
Two men in a white Infiniti Q50 rear-ended and stole a Mercedes-Benz in the 1100 block of South Euclid on June 22.

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park Police are looking for two men who rear-ended a woman's vehicle and then stole it. Police said the incident took place on June 22 at approximately 2:54 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Euclid.
The woman told police she was driving westbound on Roosevelt Road when her 2013 Mercedes Benz ML63 was struck from behind by a white Infiniti Q50. She then pulled off to the curb and the Inifiti's passenger got out and motioned for her to get out to see the damage, police said. When the woman got out of her vehicle, a second offender got into her car and fled northbound on Euclid, according to police. The first offender then shoved the woman, got back into the Infiniti and fled northbound on Euclid.
Police later found the woman's Mercedes in the 100 block of 13th Avenue in Maywood. Police say its license plates had been removed, along with an iPad mini, a golf bag and clubs and the victim's purse, which contained credit cards and $800 in cash. The total estimated loss is $8040.

The first offender is described as a black male between 16 and 22 years old, around 6'1" with a medium build and medium complexion. His hair was styled in short dreadlocks and he was wearing a burgundy shirt and blue jeans, the victim told police. No description is available for the second offender.
