Victim Hit In Face During Drive-By BB Shooting: Oak Park Police

OAK PARK, IL — Police are looking for suspects who allegedly shot a BB-style projectile from their car that struck a pedestrian on their left cheek. The incident took place on Halloween at approximately 7 p.m. near the 900 block of Mapleton Ave. The victim told police that the offenders were three to four males driving a white or gray four-door car.

This is the most recent of several incidents in Oak Park in which suspects used what police are calling a "BB-style projectile" during a crime. Over the past week, several businesses throughout Oak Park have reported their windows were shattered by similar means.

A resident also reported that offender(s) had shattered the front window of their car sometime between Oct. 31 at 4 p.m. and Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. in the 100 block of S. Cuyler.
