Woman Carjacked At Gunpoint In Her Garage In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL --- A woman was the victim of an armed carjacking in the garage of her home in Oak Park on New Year's Eve, police say. The theft took place in the first block of Harrison Street.

The woman told police that she was parking her car, a gray Pontiac Torrent, in the garage when a man came up to the vehicle. The suspect reportedly showed a gun to the woman and then drove off with her car in an unknown direction.
