• Ogle County Sheriff's Office July Report (1023thecoyote.net) — Ogle County Sheriff’s Office has released a detailed July report of arrests, crashes, and traffic enforcement, including several incidents involving Oregon residents. The update covers DUI and drug-related cases, domestic battery, license violations, and multiple crashes across the county, giving locals a clear snapshot of recent law-enforcement activity. 
• Oregon Rotary Foundation scholarships available (shawlocal.com) — College students who live in the Oregon Community Unit School District can now apply for Oregon Rotary Foundation scholarships, with application letters due by Sept. 15. You’ll need to outline your school, major, GPA, class standing, and activities, but financial need won’t affect eligibility. Letters can be mailed to Box 296 in Oregon or emailed to the scholarship chairperson.
