Driving past the old farm stand on 159th (across the street from Lake Sedgewick) out the window when something caught my eye. I got very excited and said to my husband “I think there are two bald eagles in a tree back there!” I am sure he was doubtful but he turned the car around and drove back to the lot. There they were, two bald eagles perched high in a tree overlooking a small pond. We took a few videos and photos with our cellphones but they were not that great since the birds were a little far away. We then continued on our trip.
On the way home from shopping we took the same route to see if they might still be there. To our amazement, they were not only still there but in the exact same spot. We drove home quickly to get a better camera and went back to take more photos. About 15 minutes after we returned, the eagles took flight.
I would have to say that was the most exciting trip to Costco I have ever had!
