Barber College Student Buys Jewels Using Fake Credit Cards: Prosecutor
In store purchases totaled $10,000, Orland Park cops say.

Orland Park police plucked a defendant off the inmate bus at the Bridgeview Courthouse to appear for a bond hearing on charges of theft by deception.
Prosecutors said that Jonathan Noble, who turns 29 this month, made two in-person purchases of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry using fraudulent credit cards at Michael Hill USA, 288 Orland Square Drive.

Noble made six purchases on March 31 totaling $5,738. He came back on April 15 and purchased merchandise totaling $4,068. Both transactions were made with fake credit cards, police said.
He was identified on store surveillance video and in a police line-up by a store employee, according to the charges.

Noble currently has another pending identity theft charge out of the Leighton Criminal Courts Building, prosecutors said.
The public defender told the judge that Noble is attending barber college and asked for a reasonable bond.
Bail was set at $100,000. Noble is due back in court in Bridgeview on December 3.
