Bulge in Man's Pants Turns Out To Be 20 Individual Bags of Pot: Prosecutor
Observing the man leaving a vehicle in the Orland Square Mall parking lot officers observed a definite bulge, prosecutors said.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A Park Forest man was arrested after police discovered that the bulge in his pants was 33.3 grams of pot, prosecutors said. Roosevelt Madison, 20, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of manufacture and delivery of cannabis. He was allegedly spotted stepping out of a vehicle and stuffing something in his pants.
The prosecutor said that around 6:47 p.m. Sept. 12, an Orland Park police officer observed Madison enter another vehicle where another individual sat in the driver’s seat. The patrol officer observed that when Madison got out of the vehicle, there was a definite bulge, according to the charges.
The officer found 20 individual bags in a larger bag with a loose cannabis, the prosecutor said. The police officer also stated that Madison’s own vehicle smelled like burnt cannabis. Another person in the courtroom raised his hand when the judge asked the prosecutor if the individual with Madison had also been arrested.

“Put your hand down or there will be another arrest,” Judge Felice said.
The assistant public defender told the judge that Madison was employed full time as a stocker. She asked the judge to consider giving Madison an I-bond.

Judge Felice released Madison on a $25,000 I-bond. He also ordered Madison to submit to random drug testing while his case is pending. Madison’s next court date is Sept. 27 in Bridgeview.
“I’m going to give you the key to the jail,” the judge said. “If your buddy back there tries to hand you a doobie and you take it, I’m locking you up.”
