Chicago Man Rolls Through Orland Park With Loaded Gun In Waistband: Prosecutor

The prosecutor said police noticed the gun when man was stopped for a traffic violation. He also has a pending charge for bribery.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A Chicago man was arrested after police pulled him for a traffic violation and saw a loaded gun sticking out his waistband, prosecutors said. Quincy Sizemore, 22, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He was also charged with possession of controlled substance.

Orland Park police pulled Sizemore over for an alleged traffic violation shortly after noon on Oct. 11 in the 8800 block of West 143rd Street. During the traffic stop, officers noticed a .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun sticking out of his waistband, the prosecutor said. Officers also found a gram of cocaine in Sizemore’s vehicle, according to the charges.

Sizemore has a pending misdemeanor DUI and a pending felony out of Kentucky for bribing a public servant. He also has convictions for burglary and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon where he served concurrent sentences in the Illinois Department of Corrections, the prosecutor said.

The assistant public defender told the judge that Sizemore owns a roofing company. He also studied at Moraine Valley Community College.

Felice set bail at $500,000. Sizemore is currently out on bond and on electronic monitoring. Sizemore’s next court date is Nov. 2 in Bridgeview.
