Congressman Jackson sends rep to reach out to Smith Crossing residents

Representative brings pastries and resources to remember Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Nicole Stevens, representative for U.S. Congressman Jonathan Jackson, visited Smith Crossing on April 4, 2024 to recognize the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. Jackson represents the first district of Illinois and is King’s godson. Dozen donuts from Old Fashion Donuts were shared with residents. In addition to the pastries, Stevens shared details about resources for seniors including the benefits of Medicare and resources for veterans.
