• Orland Park candidate threatens Lyons Township with lawsuit over FOIA requests (southwestregionalpublishing.com) — Orland Park resident Liz Gorman, running for the 17th District Cook County Board seat, is threatening Lyons Township with a lawsuit over unfulfilled Freedom of Information Act requests. At a recent township board meeting, she accused Clerk Elyse Hoffenberg of mishandling records and making defamatory accusations, while Hoffenberg largely avoided public back-and-forth and emphasized her focus on township work and taxpayers.
