Employee At Berkot's In Orland Tests Positive For Coronavirus
The employee continues to recover at home and will return to work once they are fully recovered and meet health requirements.

ORLAND PARK, IL — An employee at Berkot's Super Foods in Orland Park has tested positive for the coronavirus, the company said Monday. An employee at the New Lenox location has also tested positive.
"The employees notified us and removed themselves from the premises as soon as minor symptoms became evident," the company said on its Facebook page.
Berkot's said it performed a deep clean overnight once the employees showed symptoms, and has since performed daily cleaning and disinfecting.

"This heightened cleaning routine was performed multiple times while awaiting test results from the employees in question," Berkot's said. "Once we received confirmation, all store employees were made aware of the circumstances and were re-instructed regarding symptoms and safety protocols."

The company said the employees continue to recover at home and will return to work once they are fully recovered and meet all health requirements.
In addition to increased cleaning, Berkot's has also installed plexiglass barriers at the registers, social distancing decals on the floor, arrows for one-way aisle traffic and signage about social distancing.
"We continue to explore additional measures and possibilities to increase the safety of the public and our employees. We are being proactive and taking preventative measures whenever and wherever possible," the store said.
The Berkot's Orland Park location is at 11333 W. 159th St.
