Festivus 2019: Orland Park Airs Its Grievances
From no snow on the holidays to crime at the mall, Orland Park residents have gathered around the pole to discuss.
ORLAND PARK, IL — Dec. 23 has come, so it's time for the Seinfeld-created holiday, Festivus.
This made up celebration has been used by many across the world for the past 20+ years to air their grievances.
"I gotta lot of problems with you people," character Frank Costanza, played by actor Jerry Stiller, said in the show.

So here at Patch we ask some of our followers of certain town to air their grievances. What would you like changed in Orland Park? What has been bugging you on a local level in 2019?
For some people, nothing.

"As of right now, no grievances," one wrote when we asked the question on the Orland Park Patch Facebook page.
"None! Great suburb," agreed another.
True, but others did have a few things to complain about.

"High property taxes proposed by the governor."
"People out shopping today and honking at other people. Did you not know it would be crowded?? Grab a coffee, turn on the Christmas music, and just chill out. Try some of that peace on earth, goodwill towards man stuff."
"Reduce crime at shopping centers and expand neighborhoods police patrols in Orland Park due to demographics changing and many south and southwest malls being closed."
" That although I hate snow, it's not really feeling like Christmas without at least a little on the grass."
