High School Hosts Junior Cheer Camp for Local Children

Tinley Park High School invites all local kindergarten through 8th-grade students to join them for their two-day cheer camp.

District 228's Tinley Park High School is hosting a two day cheer camp for all local boys and girls in kindergarten through 8th grade. Jr. Cheer Titans will have the opportunity to work with both levels of the Tinley Park High School Cheerleading Team and will perform what they have learned during halftime of the Varsity football game on September 27th.

Participants will learn an entire routine featuring motions, jumps, and basic stunts on September 25th and September 26th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Children do not need any cheer experience to be a part of the camp. Additionally, children do not need to live in-District or in the Tinley Park neighborhood to be a part of the camp.

This is the second year the camp has ran and Cheer Coach Brittney Ghezzi says, "The team thought it would be a great opportunity for the high school to get involved with the community. It creates an experience for any child who may be interested in cheering or trying a new sport."
