Orland Grassland Volunteers will kick off their teasel restoration work activity with “High Tea on the Prairie” on Saturday, August 24th. Cutting the seed heads from high teasel that is. Meet up is 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot on 167th and will go until 11. This activity is for adults or sponsored minors and pruners are the tool of the day. There are a few pockets to step into from the trail, but mostly this is work along the bike trail.

Yes, there will be iced tea and crumpets to refresh us afterwards. Gloves, guidance and tools will be provided. Volunteers meet every Wednesday and Saturday mornings all year.
