The event drew over 250 Township Residents!

Orland Park, IL – On Saturday, October 15, the Highway Department of Orland Township, partnered with State Representative Bob Rita, Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller, and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office to host a Community Shred, E-Recycling & Prescription Take Back Event for the residents of Orland Township, including Orland Hills, Tinley Park, and Orland Park.
This free event allowed for residents to dispose of documents, electronics, and prescription drugs in a safe and secure manner. ProShred trucks were on site at the Highway Department and shredding was free. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office and Highway Department were available to collect the electronics and prescription drugs from residents.
“The Community Shred & E-Recycling event was a huge success, and I was happy to see so many residents attend this free event,” said Highway Commissioner Rubino. “I would like to thank my staff, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, State Representative Bob Rita, and Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller for working with me to ensure a safe, free and successful event for our residents.”
