Orland Park Man Seriously Injured After Fall at Starved Rock
20-year-old Alexander Isiamas was hospitalized after slipping on moss and falling 40 feet into a canyon on Tuesday.

STARVED ROCK STATE PARK, IL — A 20-year-old man from Orland Park was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when he fell from into a canyon at Starved Rock State Park in north central Illinois.
Alexander Isiamas was hiking on a trail above the nature park’s French Canyon when he slipped on moss and tumbled about 40 feet to the canyon floor, conservation police told The Times Newspaper.
Reports indicate Isiamas was airlifted to a hospital in Peoria for trauma treatment. He remains there as of early Wednesday afternoon.

A report from the Central Illinois Proud website indicates first responders said he was “conscious and alert” after the fall but experienced serious injuries.
