ID Thief Nabbed On Warrant For Value City Shopping Spree: Cops
Orland Park police said defendant opened line of credit at Value City and bought $2,302 worth of furniture.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- Orland Park cops arrested a 26-year-old Chicago man, who was wanted on a warrant for ID theft. Cooper is accused of going on a $2,302 shopping spree last month at Value City Furniture in Orland Park. Police said Cooper took out a line of credit using another woman’s identity.
Cooper allegedly went to Value City on April 13, where he opened a line of credit using a woman’s ID. That same day, Orland Park police said Cooper went to Target where he was captured on video opening a line of credit in the woman’s maiden name. He also tried a similar stunt at Kohl’s. Cooper was eventually picked out of a photo array by Value City employees. Kohl’s employees were unable to make an ID, police said.
According to court records, Cooper was arrested May 8 in Chicago for mob action, where he “knowingly assembled with two or more persons for the purpose of doing violence.”
