Last Chance to Recycle Old Electronics This Week

We all have them lying around hidden parts of the house, never to be used again.

With all of the advances in home electronics over the last decade – just think of how flat TVs are – you would think we’d be just as caught up with ways to recycle the old stuff.

We’re getting there.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Vintage Tech is hosting a quarterly e-waste pickup event at the building, 16533 S. 94^th Ave.

Commonly accepted items for recycling are laptops, TVs, printers, computers, fax machines, scanners, DVD players, stereos, VCRs, video game consoles, peripherals like mice and keyboards, PDAs, cell phones, MP3 players, phones, UPS batteries, copiers and typewriters, according to Vintage Tech’s website.

Vintage Tech is certified to dispose of the electronics responsibly, and their mission is to “provide an environmentally safe way to keep old electronics from irresponsible disposal.”
