Last Chance to Recycle Old Electronics This Week

If you still have a computer from the 1990s, it's probably time to get rid of it. Here's how to do so in an environmentally friendly way.

We all have them lying around hidden parts of the house, never to be used again.

With all of the advances in home electronics over the last decade – just think of how flat TVs are – you would think we’d be just as caught up with ways to recycle the old stuff.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Vintage Tech is hosting a quarterly e-waste pickup event at the building, 16533 S. 94th Ave.

Commonly accepted items for recycling are laptops, TVs, printers, computers, fax machines, scanners, DVD players, stereos, VCRs, video game consoles, peripherals like mice and keyboards, PDAs, cell phones, MP3 players, phones, UPS batteries, copiers and typewriters, according to Vintage Tech’s website.
