Mass Casualty Drill Planned Sunday At Palos Health South Campus

If you see a lot of emergency vehicles around the Palos Health South Campus Sunday morning, don't freak out. It's only a drill.

ORLAND PARK, IL. – If you see a lot of police and fire activity around the Palos Health South Campus in Orland Park on Sunday morning, or people freaking out on Facebook, it's only a drill. Palos Health, Orland Park PD, Orland Fire Protection District, Palos Heights PD, Palos Heights Fire Protection District and Palos Fire Protection District will be conducting a mass casualty drill on April 28.

The public can expect to see many police and fire vehicles around the Palos Health South Campus, 15300 West Ave., in Orland Park. Please note that this drill is NOT open to the public, so try to avoid the area on Sunday morning.

Emergency Service organizations depend on each other every day to mitigate emergency situations. Maintaining a high level of proficiency during complex responses to mass causality or events that require multi-jurisdictional integration requires training. The participating agencies will use this training event to exercise emergency response planning and multi-organizational integration to ensure that the participating organizations are ready to perform at a high level when such emergencies arise.
