Meet Your New Best Friend At PetSmart Adoption Event

ORLAND HILLS, IL -- If there’s no one to jump up and down when you come home at the end of the day, or stare at you as if you’re the most fascinating person in the universe, then come to the South Suburban Humane Society’s “Twilight In the Tent” pet adoption event this Saturday, June 2. One-hundred puppies, cats, kittens and some pretty amazing adult dogs will be available for adoption at PetSmart in Orland Hills. The pet adopt-a-thon runs from 4 to 8 p.m.

The Chicago Heights-based animal shelter would like to see all of its cages emptied and everyone of the deserving pets in their care find a forever home. There are dogs that like to run and catch frisbees and mutts that just want to curl up on your couch, as well as cats that want to ignore you or hang out with the kitties that already live in your home. If you’re tired of dating apps, then maybe it’s time to adopt a new member of the family. There will be plenty of helpful volunteers around to help find the perfect match for you.

Adoption fees are $10 for dogs and $100 for puppies, and zero dollars for cats and $50 kittens (kitten season has already started). All standard adoption fees and procedures apply. Dogs must leave with a leash and collar. The goal is to find forever homes for as many pets as possible. The event is being run in conjunction with PetSmart Charities. The Orland Hills PetSmart is located at 9277 W. 159th St.
