Metro Star Orchestra to perform at Smith Crossing Lawn Concert

Smith Crossing celebrates two decades serving seniors with lawn concert

Smith Crossing celebrates 20 years in Orland Park by inviting its neighbors to join residents and their families for a free concert performed by Metro Star Orchestra beginning at 5:30pm on Friday, May 17. Rain or shine, the concert is staged in front of Smith Crossing’s main entrance.

Enjoy swingin’ favorites as “Chicago’s All-Star Little Big Band” entertains audiences of all ages. Joey’s Food Truck will be onsite to sell Chicago-style favorites like loaded hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches or you can bring your own picnic. Smith Crossing dining services department will sell beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own lawn chair.

During 2024, Smith Crossing celebrates two major milestones. Smith Crossing’s sponsor, Smith Senior Living, a not-for-profit organization serving older adults, celebrates a century of caring for older adults, and Smith Crossing marks 20 years since it opened in Orland Park. Smith Crossing provides spacious residences and engaging programs for independent living, assisted living, memory support, rehabilitation and skilled nursing care.
