More Free Concerts Set For Residents At Orland Park Library

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park Public Library will be offering 4 more free concerts this summer.

“The library has a long tradition of offering concerts during the summer on the weekends,” said Library Director Mary Adamowski.

Everly Lovers, held Sunday, July 10 at 2 p.m. is intended for an audience who enjoys country rock cover bands. Residents can drop in and don’t have to worry about showing their library card.

“The Everly Lovers are known for their steel guitars and close harmonies,” said Community Engagement Manager Sarah Kleiva.

Little Miss Ann, will be held Saturday, July 30 at 2 p.m. Little Miss Ann will be ready to get kids moving. First generation Filipina-American, Little Miss Ann offers a joyful perspective on important themes such as healthy relationships, adoption, emotions, togetherness, and inclusion.

Jessie’s Girl, will be held Sunday, Aug. 14 at 2 p.m. This high energy rock band plays tribute songs from the 80s.

“Bring your dancing shoes,” said Communications Manager Jackie Boyd. “Adults will enjoy these throwbacks from the 80s.”

“ScribbleMonster: Camp Creativity” was designed to follow the Summer Reading Challenge theme, Read Beyond the Beaten Path, and it will be held on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 2 p.m.

ScribbleJim plays a camp counselor while performing songs that spark imaginations, inspire creativity, encourage audience participation, and provide kids with opportunities for creative expression.
