Mother's Day Brunch 2018: Southland Brunch Specials

Mother's Day falls on May 13 this year. Luckily there are a number of Southland restaurants open to give mom a day off from cooking. Below is a list of restaurants offering spectacular spreads. Tables are going fast so you better make reservations now. If we missed a spot, let us know in the comments.

South Suburbs

Fountain Hills Golf Club, 12601 S Kedzie Ave, Alsip
Fountain Hills' Back Nine Restaurant is offering two seatings for Mother’s Day brunch at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 pm. Brunch is $19.95 for adults, $12.95 for children under 12. Children 4 and under eat free at both sittings. Reservations are required at 708-388-4653.

Chuck's Southern Comforts Cafe, 6501 W. 79th St., Burbank
Chuck's is rolling out an awesome Mother's Day brunch buffet starting at 9 a.m., with the last seating at 5 p.m. The buffet includes breakfast items, soups, salads, three carving stations (ham, turkey, pork loin), main entrees, southern-style side dishes, and assorted desserts. $29.99 for adults; $15.99 for children; free for children under 3. Palos Country Club, 13100 Southwest Highway, Orland Park
Palos Country Club is rolling out a Mother's Day family-style dinner from noon to 4 p.m. For more information and reservations, call 708-448-6550.

Granite City, Orland Park, 14035 South La Grange Road, Orland Park
Granite City is accepting reservations for Mother's Day at all of its area locations in Orland Park, Naperville, Northbrook and Schaumburg. The brunch features carved prime rib, crab stuffed pork loin, Denver strata, Caribbean Salmon, tortellini carbonara, lemon thyme chicken, shrimp noodle salad, GC caramel rolls, eggs benedict, omelets and RumChata, french toast made to order, house-made desserts and much more. Water's Edge Golf Club, 7205 W 115th St, Worth
Water's Edge has two seatings for Mother's Day brunch at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The menu features breakfast fare, baked chicken, roast beef, filet of salmon, bone-in-ham and turkey carving stations, sides and assorted desserts, plus a free mimosa for mom. $25.95 for adults, $11.95 children ages 6-12; children 5 and under free. Garden Chalet Banquets, 11100 S. Ridgeland Ave., Worth
Garden Chalet is offering a Mother's Day lavish spread with a 2 p.m. seating. There are too many selections to mention, but a few of the highlights include waffles made to order, Alaskan King Crab clusters, a Chef carving beef tenderloin station, wild rice soup and Caprese salad. After taxes and gratuity, $36.50 adults, $23.50 children 4-10, free for children under 3. Prepay only. Reservations required at 708.361.0400.

115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St., Merrionette Park
This South Side legacy venue is offering a Mother's Day brunch with two seatings at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., featuring an omelette station, waffle station and other breakfast items, as well as lunch fare, including ham and turkey carving stations, tilapia, baked chicken and pasta, sides and assorted desserts. The Disney Princesses will be roaming the room for photo ops. Reservations guarantee a seat. Ken's on Western, 10522 South Western Ave., Chicago
A special Mother's Day menu will accompany the regular menu when they are open from 3-8 p.m.

Janson's, 9900 S Western Ave., Chicago
All mothers will get a free chocolate covered strawberry during the open hours of 10:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Franconello, 10222 S. Western Ave., Chicago
All mothers will be given a free glass of Trosecco wine while the restaurant is open from noon to 8 p.m.

Lumes Pancake House (Chicago, Palos Heights, Orland Park, Frankfort)
Lumes will have a regular menu from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. See all of Lumes locations.
