Orland Cops' Investigation Leads To Tobacco Store Drug Bust

A man from Worth faces a felony after police found cannabis and cash at the Tobacco Empire in Lockport.

ORLAND PARK, IL - Orland Park police spent several weeks on a drug investigation that led to the arrest of one man in connection to a search warrant that was executed at a tobacco store in Lockport. Murad Nassar, 38, of Worth was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver on Friday, according to police.

The investigation began in Orland Park and led detectives with the Orland Park Police Department "to information regarding possible unlawful sales" coming from Tobacco Empire, located at 1051 E. 9th St. in Lockport. Police executed a search warrant at the business on Friday, when they say "a felony amount of cannabis" and "numerous items of drug paraphernalia" were found in addition to $2,333.50 in cash.
