Orland Park Among Top Places For DUI Arrests In 2016

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A DUI arrest survey indicates Orland Park had the 16th most DUI arrests in 2016. The Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists came out with the results of its DUI arrest survey this week, surveying nearly 700 communities across Illinois.

There were 183 DUI arrests made in Orland Park in 2016, according to the survey. That's less than the 195 reported in 2015, but the 2015 number landed Orland Park in the No. 17 spot statewide while the 2016 number was enough for No. 16 on the list.

Among the 81 percent of communities that participated in the survey, Rockford led the state in with 459 DUI arrests. Among south suburban communities, Oak Lawn was first with 223.

Other nearby communities that participated in the survey were Palos Heights (140 DUI arrests in 2016), Chicago Heights (136), Tinley Park (79) and Alsip (49).
