ORLAND PARK, IL — Nick Lorenz, a special needs associate at the Orland Park Cinema, is a recipient of the Ben Marcus Humanitarian Award.

The Ben Marcus Humanitarian Award, named after Marcus Corporation (Orland Park Cinema parent company) founder and committed community advocate Ben Marcus, builds on the company’s legacy of community involvement by recognizing exceptional associates who have gone above and beyond in their volunteering for others, according to a news release. Lorenz is one of three recipients this year.

Lorenz, who lives in Peotone, has been a Special Olympics athlete for more than 16 years and has delivered several speeches in his role as a global messenger for the organization.
