Orland Park Cops Haul In 720 Pounds Of Drugs On Take-Back Day
Residents drop off unwanted, expired and unused drugs an over-the-counter medications on National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- Orland Park police collected hundreds of pounds of drugs during the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 28. Residents turned in their unwanted, expired and unused prescription and over-the-counter medications at the police station. Thousands of law enforcement agencies across the country participate the twice yearly event.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration holds the in the spring and fall to bring national attention to pharmaceutical controlled substance abuse. Orland Park police hauled in over 720 pounds. Drugs collected at these events are burned.
The Orland Park Police Department offers a year-round collection point from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. The drop-off is located at 15100 S Ravinia Ave, Orland Park.
