Orland Park Man Claims Buffalo Wild Wings Food Made Him Sick, Demands More Food For Free: Cops

Maybe he wanted to get sick again?

An Orland Park man dumped a glass of water on the head of a Buffalo Wild Wings manager when he was refused free food, police said.

Miguel Ochoa, 28, wanted the free food from Buffalo Wild Wings to make up for the time he ate there and then got sick  in the parking lot, police said.

Officers sent to the Buffalo Wild Wings to investigate a complaint from the damp manager found Ochoa not far away from the restaurant.

“At first Ochoa demanded to know why I wanted to speak with him,” an officer said, according to a police report.

“I told Ochoa I wanted to speak with him about what happened at Buffalo Wild Wings,” the officer said. “Ochoa advised that he wanted to tell me what happened. Ochoa then began to dry heave in front of me.”

Ochoa reportedly told the officer “he was disgusted with Buffalo Wild Wings.”

He then regaled the officer with a tale about dining at the restaurant with his mother about a week before.

“According to Ochoa, the food made him sick and he was forced to vomit outside the establishment,” police said. “On today’s date Ochoa returned to the restaurant and ordered food to go. After ordering the food Ochoa asked to speak with a manager.”

While waiting for a manager to speak with him, police said Ochoa ”went to the bathroom in the restaurant.”

“Upon entering the bathroom Ochoa saw that the toilets were covered in ‘s—t,’” police said, so he left and had a word with management.

“Ochoa explained the problem that occurred (the week before) and demanded he be compensated with free food,” police said.

The manager told him “the best she could do was offer 10 percent off of (his) current order,” police said. “Ochoa stated that was not enough and demanded to speak (with) another manager.”

That manager also said he couldn’t do any better than 10 percent, police said, so Ochoa “took a cup of water and threw the water on (him) and left the business.”

Ochoa was charged with battery and disorderly conduct.
