Orland Park Man Shot Answering His Front Door

Orland Park police believe the man or his family were the intended targets and that the shooting was not a random act.

ORLAND PARK, IL — A 20-year-old Orland Park man was shot Sunday evening when he answered his front door, police said. The young man is in stable condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center. The shooter is still at large.

Orland Park police responded to a report of a shooting at 9:11 p.m. in the 9600 block of Kris Trail. When officers arrived, they found the young man with two gunshot wounds in the abdomen. The alleged shooter is described as a male black in his mid-20s, possibly driving a silver, older-model sedan.
