Orland Park Officials Give Go-ahead for U. of C. Medical Center

Trustees voted unanimously in favor of the project.

The Orland Park Village Board has unanimously cleared the way for a $50 million Unviersity of Chicago outpatient medical clinic to be built in the village’s Main Street Triangle, northwest of 143rd Street and LaGrange Road.

Trustees Monday approved plans for the University of Chicago Medicine — Center for Advanced Care, but with a few tweaks first, reports Chicago Tribune.

It’s estimated that 700 patients will visit the clinic per day for diagnosis, treatment and therapy services. A CVS on the main floor will be added as a pharmacy, as well. The 108,000-square-foot outpatient center will be ”one-fifth to one-sixth” the size of its neighboring Ninety7Fifty apartment complex. The university will lease the 2.7 acres on which the building sits, and own it outright after 25 years. A lease agreement is still being negotiated.
