Deadline Nears For Orland Park Police Applications
Applications for new officer testing available through April 1.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Applications for testing for the Orland Park Police Department are available at the Orland Park Police Department, Timothy J. McCarthy Building, 15100 South Ravinia Avenue, and online at orlandpark.org/OPPDRecruitment through April 1.
Police officer positions offer a starting salary of $82,000 annually (or higher with prior police experience) with a gradual increase to $110K after six years of service with Orland Park.

Candidates may choose to return their completed applications in person to the Orland Park Police Station by 5 p.m. on April 1, 2024.

Applicants must be United States citizens, at least 21 years of age and under 35 years of age (except as permitted by statute) and in good physical and mental condition.
Applicants are required to have two years (60 semester hours) of college credits, or one and one-half years (45 semester hours) of college credits and one year of continuous active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
The mandatory orientation for prospective police officers will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 9 a.m. Reporting for applicants begins at 8:30 a.m. All applicants should report for orientation. No further notification will be issued.
The written examination will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024, with sign-in at 8:30 a.m. Both the orientation and written examination will be held at the Orland Park Police Department Timothy J. McCarthy Building, 15100 South Ravinia Ave. in Orland Park.
Applicants must have a POWER test card prior to the exam and will later be required to take and pass the following: written examination, oral examination, medical and optical examinations, psychological examination and background investigation (including the Police Department Employment Drug Policy). POWER cards must be received between November 1 and May 4, 2024.
