Marist senior Colleen O'Finn has received a prestigious Chick Evans Caddy Scholarship.

CHICAGO -- An Orland Park teen has won a prestigious Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship. Colleen O’Finn will start her fourth summer as a caddy at Crystal Tree Country Club.
O’Finn attends Marist High School, where she has been a member of Marist’s girls’ soccer and golf teams, including serving as the captain of the latter. She is a Eucharistic minister, student ambassador, and Relay for Life team member. She will attend Miami University in Ohio.
Marist High School has produced 180 Chick Evans Scholars in its school history. The Western Golf Association Evans Scholars Foundation provides full tuition and college house for golf caddies. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years. To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, all applicants must have a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need, and outstanding character. Applicants are evaluated and compete on the above criteria for the limited number of awards given annually.
