Orland Park Turns 125 Years Old
Orland Park celebrated 125 years as a municipality on May 31.

ORLAND PARK, IL --The village of Orland Park marked a milestone on Wednesday as it turned 125 years old. The village was first incorporated as an Illinois municipality on May 31, 1862, according to social media posts from the village.
The village shared a pair of images on Facebook to commemorate the milestone, noting that then-State Senator John Humphrey led the effort to incorporate the village and served as its first mayor for more than two decades.
Humphrey's impact is still evidenced today with a statue of him near the Metra station and John Humphrey Drive, a North-South thoroughfare that runs just east of Lagrange Road.
