Orland Park Vodka Thief Arrested On Warrant: Prosecutor
Warrant executed for part-time musician accused of heisting 41 bottles of Grey Goose from Orland Park Jewel.

ORLAND PARK, IL -- A part-time musician wanted on an arrest warrant for allegedly swiping a large quantity of vodka from an Orland Park supermarket appeared in court Friday before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a retail theft charge. DMarco Hill, 25, is currently being held in Cook County Jail on a no-bond warrant for escaping electronic home monitoring on another pending theft charge. Orland Park police had sought an arrest warrant for Hill in March for an apparent retail theft.
The prosecutor said that Hill was spotted in the employee stock room area on March 22 at the Orland Park Jewel-Osco store on 159th Street. Hill was seen on video allegedly pushing a grocery cart out of the store with 41 bottles of Grey Goose vodka. The vodka was valued at $939.20. The prosecutor said that Hill had tampered with a security device on the stock room door.
Jewel store security identified Hill in a photo lineup who they recognized from past encounters, Orland Park police said when the warrant was issued for $100,000.

Before he was led into the courtroom, Hill could be seen throwing himself out of the prisnor holding area and into a wall.
“You’re hurting me,” he yelled at the sheriff’s deputy. “What do you have to hold my wrist so tight.”
“Stop resisting,” the sheriff’s deputy said.
Hill continued yelling as sheriff’s deputies and the judge tried to calm him down. “Are you prejudiced? Are you homophobic?” Hill yelled.
“I don’t know what your sexual preference is,” the sheriff’s deputy said.
“Yes, you do,” Hill said. “Judge, he’s prejudiced as [expletive].”
Eventually, Hill calmed down. His next court date is Aug. 22 in Bridgeview.
