Orland Township Hosts Month-Long Celebration for Older Americans Month
Orland Township has organized a variety of events and activities throughout May aimed at engaging and supporting the community.

Orland Park, IL – Orland Township is inviting local seniors to join in the celebration of Older Americans Month (OAM) this May. Every year, the Administration for Community Living leads the nation’s observance of Older Americans Month, and the 2025 theme, "Flip the Script on Aging," honors older adults’ contributions, exploring the many opportunities for staying active and engaged as we age, and highlighting the opportunities for purpose, exploration, and connection that come with aging.
To celebrate, Orland Township has organized a variety of events and activities throughout May aimed at engaging and supporting the community's older residents. From health fairs to themed drop-in days, there are many ways for seniors to connect, have fun, and stay healthy. The events will take place at Orland Township, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park, and all seniors are invited to participate.
The events include a FREE Senior Health Fair, which will take place on Tuesday, May 27, from 9 a.m. to noon at Orland Township. The event will feature several local organizations offering giveaways, raffle prizes, and important senior-related information. Seniors can also access free health services such as cholesterol testing, and blood pressure screenings, sponsored by Walmart of Orland Hills. Hearing screenings will be provided by the Orland Park Lions Club. It’s a fantastic opportunity for seniors to stay informed and maintain their well-being.
