Orland Township Hosts Senior Idol Auditions

Are you an awesome alto or a terrific tenor and 55 years of age or better? Orland Township is hosting Senior Idol auditions on Feb. 20.

ORLAND TOWNSHIP, IL -- Are you an awesome alto or a terrific tenor and 55 years of age or better? If so, Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady and the Board of Trustees want you to come try out for Senior American Idol. Get ready to ‘pitch’ your best ballad, croon some country or belt out the blues at the 6th Annual Orland Township Senior American Idol auditions on February 20.

Each contestant will sing a 2- to 3-minute segment of a song of their choice, a cappella, for a panel of judges. At the end of the evening, the top 16 contestants will be selected to compete at the finals in May.

“Our seniors have such talent and a zest for life that this event is always an entertaining, energy packed evening,” said Supervisor O’Grady. “I always look forward to the showcase of talent.”
