Help Orland Township make the lives of local families a little brighter this season! Donate to the Orland Township Holiday Program by dropping off items at the Donation Drive-Thru’s scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 30 & Tuesday, Dec. 1.

For over 30 years, Orland Township has provided a yearly holiday meal, gifts, and other personal items to more than 200 families who are experiencing financial difficulties; with a majority of the recipients being clients of the Orland Township Food Pantry. Whether you’re donating as a single resident, family, school, or business, your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Orland Township’s Holiday Donation Drive-Thru’s will operate between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., with the first being on November 30 in conjunction with Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement that aims to unleash the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. The second will occur the following week on Tuesday, December 7. Both will take place at Orland Township, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park. Township personnel will be on hand to unload donations from residents’ vehicles.

“While the holiday season is undeniably a joyous time to celebrate, we cannot forget about the members of our community who are in need of assistance,” said Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady. “On behalf of those families, we ask that you share your holiday spirit by donating to the Orland Township Holiday Program. Your generosity is always greatly appreciated.”

Donations of unexpired and unopened, non-perishable food, along with unwrapped, new gifts and personal items can be dropped off at the Township on either date.
