Orland Township’s Senior Trunk and Treat

Halloween is right around the corner at Orland Township!

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Township is preparing for a hauntingly good senior Halloween event! The first annual Township Trunk and Treat Community Showcase is slated to run from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Oct. 17.

The Township is seeking businesses and organizations to register for the event who are willing to set up in the north lot, on Orland Township grounds (14807 S. Ravinia Ave., in Orland Park), and hand out candy, free giveaways, and information to local seniors. Space is limited and vendor reservation is $10. Proceeds support local youth and will benefit the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation.

Participating groups are highly encouraged to decorate their trunks and, if their organization has a mascot, to bring the mascot along. Attendees will have the opportunity to vote on the best decorated trunk, and the winner will receive a prize. Costumes for all are recommended and highly encouraged. This is a rain or shine event, and entry is free.
