Orland Township Seniors Celebrate Halloween

Costume contest, a magician and lunch make for a great afternoon

A scary good time was had by more than 100 seniors at Orland Township’s Senior Halloween Luncheon, according to the Office of Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady.

After a costume contest, guests dined on a variety of Italian favorites catered by Gatto’s Restaurant in Orland Park. Lunch was followed by an entertaining show by magician Jaime Aponte, who got some of the guests to help out with a few of his illusions.

“Senior luncheons are just one of the many activities Orland Township provides for senior citizens to participate in throughout the year,” said Supervisor O’Grady. “It’s great to see our guests dress up and get into the Halloween spirt.”
