Orland Trustee Healy Goes on Incoherent Rant Against Unions
Orland Park Village Trustee William Healy stumbled through prepared remarks blasting unions during the September 2nd Board meeting

By Kathy Fenton
During the "Board Comments" section of the Orland Park Village Board meeting, Village Trustee William Healy used his time to launch into a prepared, incoherent, fact-less, diatribe against unions in a rant against the Labor Day holiday. The motivation of the personal grievance and relevance to the village residents is known only to Healy. The unprovoked attacked on unions begins at 48:25 of the video here:
Since Mayor Pekau was elected, he, and his trustees, have used Village Board meetings as a platform to divide and conquer our community, air personal grievances, and attempt to score political points. Never do they even attempt to use this time to bring the village together. Never do they even pretend to represent the all the residents of the village.

Spin, propaganda, character assassination, and alternative facts are always a part of the rants by Pekau and his dutiful minions. When Mayor Pekau and the trustees are in a Board meeting, they are representing the entire village, not their privileged few supporters and donors.
Trustee Healy has demonstrated yet again he is unfit to serve on the Village Board, while Mayor Pekau and the other trustees condone this behavior. This great village deserves so much better than our present leadership offers us.
