Palos Orland Swim Association Hosts Fundraiser at Portillo’s

The Palos Orland Swim Association will host a fundraiser at Portillo’s Wednesday, Nov. 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. to raise money to pay for swimmers’ equipment.

Families are asked to tell Portillo’s employees they are with POSA, and 20 percent of what they spend will go to the organization. The restaurant is located at 15900 Harlem Ave. in Park Center Plaza Shopping Center.

Everyone in the Palos-Orland community is welcome to come and support the POSA Eagles. Portillo’s offers a variety of quality food including beef sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs and salads. The restaurant is also home to the infamous chocolate cake shake.

“It’s a great way for the community to go out and enjoy tasty food while helping the organization,” Assistant Coach Tara Capouch said. “All the swimmers are looking forward to going and spending time with their teammates.”

Palos Orland Swim Association is a swim club that offers an environment where athletes can excel to the best of their abilities and develop integrity, sportsmanship and teamwork.
