Payless to Close in Orland Park
Store in Lakeview Plaza to get cut as company files for bankruptcy.
ORLAND PARK, IL - The Payless ShoeSource store in Orland Park will close soon. This week, the company released a list of 400 stores it plans to close nationally while it files for bankruptcy.
In all, 13 Payless locations will be closing in Illinois. The location in Lakeview Plaza in Orland Park was among them.
The chain, founded in 1956, currently operates 4,400 stores in 30 countries, including 3,600 in North America. In January, Reuters reported Payless was in debt to the tune of $655 million.
