ORLAND PARK-OAK FOREST, IL -- Dramatic photos of a suspect in two armed carjackings that resulted in a construction worker and a police officer being injured during a police chase that spanned Orland Park and Oak Forest. The first carjacking happened just before noon on Oct. 18 in a restaurant parking lot in Orland Park. A man and woman had just exited their car when they were approached by man brandishing a handgun. Orland Park police said he took the woman’s purse and keys to the vehicle, then fled east bound in the stolen vehicle eastbound on 159th Street. The vehicle crashed injuring a construction worker. While fleeing in the second stolen vehicle, the suspect is said to have struck an Oak Forest cop who was chasing him on foot.
