ORLAND PARK, IL -- A Tinley Park man found passed out behind the wheel while in traffic was arrested after police found pot and pills in his car, prosecutors said. Adnan Shukair, 37, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful delivery and traffic violations.
Orland Park police were dispatched to LaGrange Road and 147th Street around 11:30 p.m. May 23 for a car stopped at the traffic light that was apparently not moving. Also discovered were 20 buprenorphine pills, a type of opioid and 79 bars of Xanax, the proseuctor said.
The assistant public defender told the judge that Shukair is a graduate of Bogan High School. He also suffers from Crohn’s disease.
