Prescription for Alprazolam Turns Out To Be Fake: Cops
Two men from Hazel Crest are accused of submitting a fake prescription for Alprazolam at the Orland Park Meijer pharmacy.
ORLAND PARK, IL — Two Hazel Crest men were arrested after they attempted to pick up Alprazolam using a fake prescription, prosecutors said. Devon Hill, 26, and Denzel Hawthorne, 22, appeared before Cook County Judge John Mahoney on felony forgery charges.
According to the complaint, Hill submitted a fraudulent prescription for 60 Alprazolam on July 11 at the Orland Park Meijer's Pharmacy. The prosecutor said the pharmacist noticed something fishy about the prescription, which had Hill's name on it, and called police. Hill was arrested inside the store.
Hawthorne was waiting outside in a parked vehicle. Officers found Hawthorne allegedly stuffing another fake prescription with Hill's name on it down his pants.
